Imaginative science with skilled management and solid investment

Alchimer, located in Massy, near Paris, France, is a spin-off from the Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique in France.

Founded in 2001, it won the First National Award for the Creation of High Tech Companies from the French Minister of Research and Industry, in doing so securing a grant of 450,000 Euros. The company raised 4.8 million Euros in first round of funding in December 2002, and a further 11 million Euros in October 2004.

Today, the investors are AGF Private Equity, Rothschild, SPEF Venture, CEA-Valorisation, Auriga Partners, Partech International, FCJE (Caisse des Dépôts) and Intel Capital.

Alchimer’s executive team includes successful semiconductor industry entrepreneurs and businessmen. The development team consists of scientific specialists in surface science, chemistry, electrochemistry, physics, materials science and semiconductors.
